The TN Radon Program combined three fresh and innovative projects to attract new audiences while spreading the message regarding radon testing and mitigation of buildings. First, it hosted a teacher workshop in Knoxville to educate teachers about radon and assist them in developing curriculum–appropriate educational materials on radon for their classrooms. Second, the program promoted citizen science by supporting a Chattanooga school student with his senior project of testing his school for radon. Lastly, the program implemented a creative approach to NRAM with a new partnership with health facilities and gyms to promote radon testing as the new“resolution”in January. These activities combined for record outreach statistics and test kit requests for Tennessee.
